ANCOM: Work from home and online courses have increased fixed internet traffic by an average of 20.9%, and mobile traffic by 12%

Fixed internet traffic increased on average in the last week of March by 21%, and mobile traffic by 12%, compared to the end of February 2020, when the first case of infection with COVID-19 virus was registered in Romania, ANCOM announces. At the same time, voice traffic registered average increases of 22% in mobile networks and 22.7% in fixed networks, according to data transmitted by electronic communications service providers.
