New orders in the processing industry have increased
New orders in the processing industry increased, between January 1 and February 29, 2020, compared to January 1-February 28, 2019, in nominal terms, by 4.6%, according to data published by the National Institute of Statistics (NIS) on Tuesday. New orders in the industry represent the value of the contracts concluded in the reference month between a producer and a customer and concern the deliveries of goods and services related to the manufacturer, regardless of the period in which they are to be honored. Product-related taxes (such as VAT), discounts and discounts are not included when these are contractually awarded.
