Romania ranks second in the top of the largest beekeepers in the EU, with 2 million hives

Beekeeping is one of the agricultural sectors with the oldest traditions at national level, Romania being on the second place in the top of the largest beekeepers in the European Union, after Spain, with a population of almost 2 million hives, according to data to the European Commission.
