The main engine of the economy: Romania produces cars and auto parts worth 30 billion euros, ie 14% of GDP

The turnover of the local auto industry, a value that includes the business of Dacia, Ford and more than 400 component manufacturers, will rise by 5.2% in 2019 compared to 2018, to 30 billion euros, according to the data of the Association of Builders of Cars from Romania (ACAROM). The pace of growth is lower than in 2018. 2017, given that 2018 was the first full year of production for the Ford plant in Craiova, the reason for the growth was previously so strong.
