The number of nights spent by tourists in pensions and hotels in Romania increased by 5.6% in 2019, the fifth best rate in the European Union. The largest increases in this respect were registered in Slovakia (+ 12.6%) and Lithuania (+ 10.0%), followed by the Netherlands (+ 6.8%) and the United Kingdom (+ 5.7%). ). At the opposite end, the only decreases were recorded in Greece (-3.0%) and Malta (-2.7%).
