The local market lost a massive investment after the Bosch Germans gave up building a washing machine. They would have to invest over 100 million euros, for which they had asked for state aid that was refused. Four new appliance factories, one of which has already been opened and the other three announced, are shaping Romania as a hub for the production of refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners and coffee makers.
