By 2020, there will be over 30 billion connected devices that will generate data to make cities truly “smart,” according to a study by Oracle. The study on Building a hyper-connected city, launched at the Smart Cities Expo World in Barcelona, highlighted the benefits of Internet of Things (IoT) for cities around the world. Bucharest ranks 61st out of 100 cities and has been placed in the “Advanced” category. Cities in this category are making progress in interconnecting the urban ecosystem and have benefits from smart projects.
